1 Who We Are
OG Outlier is a Chrome browser extension developed and maintained as an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Meta Platforms Inc. or Facebook in any way.
2 What Data We Collect
We collect absolutely no personal data.
The extension reads Facebook feed content solely to analyze engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, views) locally on your device. This content is:
- Never stored beyond your browser session
- Never transmitted to our servers
- Never shared with any third party
- Processed entirely within your Chrome browser
The only data stored locally on your device via chrome.storage includes:
- A randomly generated anonymous device UUID (for license activation only)
- Your license key (if you purchase Pro plan)
- Your extension preferences and settings
- Daily post count (for free tier limit tracking)
- Cached trending post scores (local only)
None of this data ever leaves your device except for license validation with Freemius (see Section 5).
3 What We Do NOT Collect
We never collect:
- Your Facebook account information
- Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- Your browsing history or activity
- The content of posts you view
- Your IP address
- Location data
- Device information beyond anonymous UUID
- Any analytics or usage telemetry
4 How The Extension Works
OG Outlier operates entirely client-side:
- Reads engagement numbers from Facebook feed DOM
- Applies a local mathematical scoring formula
- Displays results within your browser only
- No data is sent to any external server during scoring
- All computation happens in your Chrome browser
5 Freemius Payment Processing
If you purchase a Pro license, payment is processed by Freemius (freemius.com), our third-party payment and licensing partner. During this process:
- Your payment details are handled solely by Freemius
- We never see or store your payment information
- Your anonymous device UUID is shared with Freemius solely to validate your license activation
- Freemius has their own Privacy Policy at: freemius.com/privacy

Nothing else is transmitted.
6 Chrome Storage
We use chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync exclusively to store:
- Extension settings and preferences
- License activation data (anonymous UUID + license key)
- Daily usage counts for free tier management
- Cached engagement scores (temporary)
This data is stored locally in your Chrome profile and is never transmitted to our servers.
Extension popup → Settings → Clear All Data
7 Third Party Services
OG Outlier does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
The only third-party communication is:
- Freemius (license validation only)
- Chrome Web Store (extension delivery only)
We do not use:
- Google Analytics
- Facebook Pixel
- Any advertising networks
- Any crash reporting services
8 Children's Privacy
OG Outlier is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 18.
9 GDPR & Your Rights (EU Users)
Although we collect no personal data, EU users have the right to:
- Access any data we hold (we hold none)
- Request deletion of data (use Clear All Data in settings)
- Object to processing (disable the extension)
- Data portability (export debug log in settings)

10 CCPA (California Users)
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising. California residents have all rights described above under GDPR.
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
Significant changes will be communicated via Chrome Web Store update notes.
