Click "Add to Chrome" on the Chrome Web Store page
Click "Add Extension" in the popup
Pin OG Outlier to your toolbar by clicking the puzzle piece icon in Chrome
Visit Facebook and start scrolling — OG Outlier activates automatically
OG Outlier currently supports Google Chrome only (version 88 and above). Support for Edge and Brave is planned for a future update.
OG Outlier is a Chrome desktop extension and works on Facebook in desktop Chrome only. Mobile browsers do not support Chrome extensions.
Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in Chrome toolbar → Find OG Outlier → Click the pin icon next to it. The crown icon will now appear in your toolbar.
Go to Chrome menu (⋮) → More Tools → Extensions → Find OG Outlier → Make sure the toggle is ON. If still not showing, try removing and reinstalling the extension.
⚙️ How It Works
OG Outlier reads the engagement numbers (likes, comments, shares, views) visible on your Facebook feed and applies a local scoring algorithm. Posts scoring above your threshold (default 70/100) are flagged as trending with a glowing badge.
A few possible reasons:
Check the extension is enabled (popup → Settings → Enable toggle must be ON)
Your threshold may be set too high — try lowering it in Settings (popup → Settings → Threshold slider)
Posts in your feed may genuinely have low engagement
Facebook may have updated their layout — contact us so we can push an update
Yes. Open the extension popup → Settings tab → drag the Threshold slider. Lower value = more posts flagged. Higher value = only highly viral posts flagged. Default is 70 out of 100.
OG Outlier works on your main Facebook news feed. Groups and Pages support depends on Facebook's layout for those sections and may vary.
No. OG Outlier uses a lightweight local algorithm with no external API calls. All processing happens instantly on your device with zero network requests during scoring.
Check your purchase confirmation email from Freemius. If you cannot find it, email us at bhushanchhaya@gmail.com with your purchase email address and we will resend it within 24 hours.
Each license activates on one Chrome installation at a time. To switch devices:
Open extension popup → License tab
Click "Deactivate This Device"
Install OG Outlier on your new Chrome
Enter your license key and activate
You can switch devices unlimited times.
Your license is currently active on a different Chrome installation. To transfer it:
On the original device: popup → License → Deactivate This Device
Then activate on your new device
If you no longer have access to the original device, email us at bhushanchhaya@gmail.com and we will manually deactivate it for you.
Make sure you copied the full key with no spaces
Check your internet connection
Try removing and reinstalling the extension

No. OG Outlier reads engagement numbers from your feed purely for local scoring. No Facebook content, post text, or personal data is ever collected, stored externally, or transmitted to our servers.
Yes. OG Outlier is a read-only passive extension. It never logs in, posts, likes, shares, or interacts with Facebook in any way. It only reads visible numbers on your own feed.
